About the Journal

The Journal of the Kenya Association of Physicians (JOKAP) is a peer-reviewed journal, published within the African Journals Online platform (AJOL), that takes pride in maintaining scholarly excellence in scientific and health care publications. With our editorial office based in Nairobi, we release biannual issues in March and September, with a diverse range of original research, letters to the editor, case reports and reviews, with a particular focus on research in clinical medicine. We encourage submissions from researchers, educators, and practitioners, fostering a comprehensive exploration of medicine across its various disciplines.

The Journal of the Kenya Association of Physicians is committed to promoting high-quality care by physicians and internists in Kenya while ensuring a high standard of professional and personal conduct among its members. It addresses and advocates for all matters affecting the interests of physicians in the country and supports research in medicine and related disciplines through collaboration in education, training, and sharing experiences to implement best practices. JOKAP also organizes functions to facilitate the exchange of ideas and improve mutual understanding among members, liaises with local and international organizations on matters of mutual interest, and works to advance the specialty of internal medicine and its sub-specialties.
