Prof. George Omondi Oyoo (FACR, FRCP (Edin), FIPH, MMed, MBChB, Cert Trop Med, Clin Rheum, Cert Clin Epid, FCP (ECSA))
Prof. Omondi Oyoo is an Associate Professor in the department of clinical Medicine and Therapeutics, School of Medicine, University of Nairobi, and a consulting rheumatologist in Nairobi, Kenya.Prof. Oyoo is a fellow of the American college of rheumatology, a fellow of the East and Central Africa college of physicians, a member of the British Society for Rheumatology and a Fellow of the Royal college of Physicians of Edinburgh.In April 2023, the Council of the royal college of Physicians, Edinburgh approved the appointment of Prof Oyoo to the position of the Regional Adviser for Kenya for five years due to finish at the end of March 2028. While his life long pursuits have been to challenge and subvert oppressive social structures whether manifest in gender, class, racial or economic hierarchies; his happy space is found in his faith, his family , the hours spent outdoors with his friends, hiking and exploring nature,watching football, reading autobiographies and listening to country, gospel and classic music.

Dr. Paul Bundi Karau

Dr. Bundi Karau is the Managing Editor of the Journal of the Kenya Association of Physicians (JOKAP). He holds a BSc in Human Anatomy, an MBChB, an MMed in Internal Medicine, and a PhD in Neurosciences. Currently, he is pursuing a fellowship in Neurology. Dr. Karau serves as a Senior Lecturer in Internal Medicine at Kenya Methodist University and has made significant contributions to medical research, with over 30 publications in peer-reviewed journals focusing on anatomy and internal medicine. His expertise and dedication to academic excellence continue to shape the medical field in Kenya and beyond.

Dr. Mohamed A.M Sood
MBChB, MD, MRCP (UK), Dip HIV (UK), DipMed-Law (UK), FCP (ECSA)
Dr. Sood is a Consultant Physician and Nephrologist with a strong commitment to clinical excellence, medical education, and research. He is the outgoing Vice-Chairman of the Kenya Association of Physicians (KAP) and serves as the Clinical Supervisor and Chairman of the Examination Committee for the East, Central, and Southern Africa College of Physicians (ECSACOP). He is also a key member of the Mombasa Ethics Review Committee (MERC) and a Research Member of the Department of Health, Mombasa County (2024). Recognized for his service during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Sood was honored with The Presidential Order of Service, Uzalendo Award and the Mashujaa of COVID-19 Pandemic Award by the Rotary Club of Mombasa.

Dr Jeremiah K. Munguti
BSc (Hons), MBChB, MSc (Anat.), MMed (Int. Med), PhD (Anat.)
Dr Jeremiah Munguti is a lecturer at the Department of Human Anatomy and Medical Physiology, University of Nairobi. He is a clinician scientist, anatomist and a medical physician passionate about the promotion of learning, research, teaching and clinical practice. His research interest is in cardiometabolic disease with an emphasis on metabolic-dysfunction associated steatotic liver disease and the influence of gut dysbiosis and chronic systemic inflammation on the hepatic milieu and cardiovascular disease. He holds a BSc (Human Anatomy), MBChB, MSc (Human Anatomy), MMED (Internal Medicine) and a PhD (Human Anatomy). He has done both bench and clinical research and has widely published on the same.

Dr. Premanand Ponoth is the Chief of Cardiothoracic & Vascular Surgery at The Karen Hospital, Nairobi, Kenya. He is an esteemed cardiovascular surgeon with extensive experience in clinical practice, research, and academia. A Fellow of multiple prestigious medical associations, including the American College of Surgeons (FACS) and the American College of Cardiology (FACC), he has contributed significantly to the field through multiple publications, conference presentations, and various editorial roles. Dr. Ponoth also serves as the Deputy Program Director of COSECSA and has been recognized globally for his contributions to cardiothoracic surgery.

Prof Jowi is a Professor of Medicine / Neurology; the President, East, Central & Southern Africa College of Physicians (ECSACOP); developer of the Neurology Unit (Aga Khan University Hospital) and holds multiple academic posts (Maseno/other Kenyan institutions).

He served as the acting Dean in the School of Medicine of the University of Malawi and oral health for 2 years.
