JOKAP publishes original research, review articles, case reports, editorials, and commentaries on topics related to internal medicine, infectious diseases, non-communicable diseases, health policy, and emerging healthcare challenges relevant to the African continent and globally.

Publication Model and Schedule

JOKAP is a Diamond Open Access, peer-reviewed medical journal. Its published content is freely accessible to readers, and authors are not charged article processing fees. The journal is published biannually, with issues released in March and September each year.

Peer Review and Editorial Standards

JOKAP uses a double-blind peer review process. All submissions undergo initial editorial screening for relevance, scientific quality, methodological rigor, and ethical compliance before being considered for external peer review, where appropriate.
